I am a Registered Psychologist with over 10 years of experience providing counselling and assessment services to youth, adults, couples, and families. I specialize in helping individuals navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, low motivation, and relationship challenges. I also offer psychoeducational assessments for ADHD, learning disabilities, giftedness, and co-occurring concerns.
My approach to therapy is client-centered and culturally responsive. I believe each person brings unique strengths, values, and lived experiences to the table. I draw from a range of therapeutic approaches to tailor treatment to each client’s needs – always with the goal of helping them feel empowered and supported. Whether you’re working through past trauma, coping with mental health challenges, or navigating the complexities of identity, my role is to walk alongside you with compassion, curiosity, and respect.
As someone with my own lived experiences of mental health struggles, illness, and resilience, I know how hard it can be to ask for help, and how powerful therapy can be when it’s the right fit. My work is guided by the belief that small, intentional steps can lead to meaningful and lasting change. I work collaboratively with clients to define goals that are achievable, realistic, and aligned with their values.
I am passionate about supporting clients from all walks of life and strive to create a welcoming space for everyone. I offer therapy in both English and Urdu/Hindi, and I am especially committed to working with BIPOC individuals, immigrants, and clients from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply looking for support and clarity, I welcome the opportunity to work with you. My goal is to help you reconnect with your inner wisdom, explore new perspectives, and build a more grounded, authentic life.
Outside of my work at Solasta Counselling, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, being outdoors, and hanging out with my wonderfully quirky cat, who even enjoys going for walks. I believe that healing doesn’t have to be heavy all the time, and sometimes a little humor (or a funny cat video) can go a long way.
