Fees For Services – Counselling Calgary

We follow the recommended fees for Registered Psychologists by the Psychologists Association of Alberta. From 1 January 2025, fees will increase to $235 per standard therapy hour (50 minutes) for Registered Psychologists. Extended sessions are 80 minutes and cost $352.50

Our Registered Provisional Psychologists charge $220 per standard therapy hour (50 minutes). Extended sessions are 80 minutes and cost $330.

Our Registered Social Workers charge $220 per standard therapy hour (50 minutes). Extended sessions are 80 minutes and cost $330.

Our Canadian Certified Counsellors charge between $160 and $200 per standard therapy hour (50 minutes). Please check with your clinician for extended session pricing.

Our Registered Provisional Psychologists, Registered Social Workers, and Canadian Certified Counsellors can offer a sliding scale to those who can demonstrate need.

Our counselling student interns offer individual counselling to those 10 and older for FREE.

Assessments

Comprehensive Psychoeducational Assessment for Children and Adults $2,950

This includes investigation of (when relevant):

• Intellectual/Cognitive Abilities
• Learning Disorders/Disabilities/Giftedness
• Behavioural Challenges
• Social-Emotional Challenges
• ADHD

Cognitive and Academic Assessment $2,200

Comprehensive Psychoeducational Assessment AND Autism Assessment $3,750

Comprehensive Child or Adult Autism Assessment $3,250 (If less formal assessments is required, price will be charged per hour up to $3,250)

Gifted Assessment (Cognitive only) $1,100 (for Westmount Charter). If giftedness criteria is not met and a report is not required, the cost is $660.

Adult ADHD Specific from $1,500 (the cost may be higher if more testing is required).

We provide some direct billing services – check with your psychologist.

We have psychologists who are approved providers for:

• Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC)
• Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP)
• Canadian Armed Forces (CAF)
• Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB)

Registered Provisional Psychologists:
We can directly bill Alberta Blue Cross, GreenShield, and Sun Life. Most insurance
plans will cover Registered Provisional Psychologists if psychological services are
included in your policy – but you will need to submit the receipts (apart from those
policies listed above).
