Hi, I’m Melina! There are many times in my life where I have felt anxious, overwhelmed, and disconnected from myself. Therapy has been a place that I have turned to over the years when my mind feels heavy and like too much to carry alone. I know from my own experience that choosing to go to therapy can be vulnerable and sometimes even feel a bit stressful itself. I am here to help make the process as comfortable as possible. I believe that therapy works best when we work together. So building relationships grounded in trust, respect and curiosity about what makes you, you is an important part of my process.
I completed my practicum with Solasta as part of the Master of Counselling program at City University, and I’m continuing on with the team as a Counselling Intern. At the heart of my counselling style is collaboration. Drawing from evidence-based approaches, I aim to help clients explore their stories, discover their strengths, and feel empowered to move toward growth and healing. I am excited to work with clients in all stages, including those navigating stress, anxiety, relationship challenges, or major life transitions. I’m especially passionate about working with women and caregivers, battling perfectionism, and burnout.
Outside of the counselling room, I love staying active, so you’ll probably find me at the gym, doing yoga, hiking or snowboarding when the weather allows. I also enjoy spending time with loved ones and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen, as food is my favourite love language! Whether at home or at work, connection, curiosity, and compassion are the values I carry into every part of my life, and they’re the foundation of my work as a counsellor.
If you’re looking for a supportive, approachable space where you can be yourself while working toward your goals, I’d be honoured to walk that journey with you.
