Terms of Service
Last updated: July 2026
By accessing or using this website, you agree to the following terms. If you do not agree, please do not use this site. These terms apply to the website itself; the terms of your actual clinical relationship with a Solasta clinician are governed separately by the informed consent process you complete before beginning services.
1. Use of This Website
This website is provided for informational purposes and to help you learn about Solasta Counselling’s services, team, and how to book an appointment. You may view and use the content on this site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, republish, or distribute our content for commercial purposes, attempt to extract data from the site in bulk, or use the site in a way that could damage it or restrict others’ access to it, without our written permission.
2. Not a Substitute for Emergency Care
This website, including any content, blog posts, or tools such as the Find Your Therapist quiz, is provided for general information and is not a substitute for professional medical or psychological advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and is not appropriate for emergencies. Solasta Counselling is not a distress centre and does not provide emergency mental health support. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, please contact the Calgary Distress Centre at 403-266-4357, call 911, or go to your nearest emergency department.
3. No Guarantee of Outcomes
While our clinicians use evidence-based approaches, we cannot guarantee specific outcomes from counselling, therapy, or assessment services, which depend on many factors particular to each individual. General information provided on this website (including blog content) reflects general clinical knowledge and should not be relied upon as personalized advice for your specific situation — that requires an actual clinical relationship with one of our clinicians.
4. Booking and Fees
Appointments booked through this website are subject to the cancellation, fee, and billing policies described on our Fees & Direct Billing page, which may be updated from time to time. Booking is handled through JaneApp, a third-party platform with its own terms of use.
5. Intellectual Property
The content on this website — including text, images, and design — is owned by Solasta Counselling or used with permission, and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce or repurpose this content without our written consent.
6. Disclaimer
This website and its content are provided “as is.” While we make reasonable efforts to keep information accurate and current, we make no warranties about the completeness or accuracy of the content on this site, and we may update or change it at any time without notice.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Solasta Counselling is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website or its content. This limitation does not affect any rights you have in relation to the clinical services you receive, which are governed separately by professional standards of care and the informed consent process for your treatment.
8. External Links
This website may link to external websites, including professional association registries or other resources. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external sites, and inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may revise these terms from time to time. Continued use of this website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
