Counselling for Communities Near Calgary
Solasta Counselling works with clients from communities throughout the Calgary region, including Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere, Okotoks, Strathmore, and surrounding areas.
Our psychology practice is located in NW Calgary at 1716 16 Ave NW, where clients can attend counselling and psychological assessment appointments in person. Secure online counselling is also available throughout Alberta, giving you the option of meeting from home when travelling into Calgary isn’t convenient.
Whether you choose in-person or online appointments, the starting point is the same: finding a clinician whose experience fits what you’re looking for help with.
Counselling in the Calgary Region
Living outside Calgary doesn’t mean you need to choose a therapist based solely on who happens to have an office in your community.
Solasta’s team includes psychologists, provisional psychologists, counsellors, and other mental health professionals working with adults, children and teens, couples, and families across a broad range of concerns.
Clients from communities surrounding Calgary can attend our NW Calgary office in person or access online counselling anywhere in Alberta.
Airdrie
We work with clients from Airdrie and communities north of Calgary who are looking for counselling or psychological services.
Depending on the service and clinician, you can meet securely online from Airdrie or travel to our Calgary office for an in-person appointment.
For psychological assessments that require in-person testing, appointments take place at our Calgary office.
Cochrane
Clients from Cochrane and communities west of Calgary can access Solasta’s counselling services online or attend appointments at our NW Calgary office.
Online counselling can be useful when regular travel into Calgary isn’t practical, while the option of an in-person office remains available when that format works better for you.
Chestermere
We provide counselling to clients living in Chestermere and communities east of Calgary, with secure online appointments available throughout Alberta.
Clients can also attend our Calgary office for in-person counselling and psychological assessment appointments.
Okotoks
Clients in Okotoks and communities south of Calgary can work with Solasta therapists through secure online counselling or travel to our NW Calgary office for in-person services.
Online appointments can make ongoing counselling easier to fit around work, family, school, and the time involved in travelling into Calgary.
Strathmore & Other Communities Near Calgary
Our services aren’t limited to the communities listed above.
We also work with people in Strathmore and other communities throughout the Calgary region and southern Alberta. If you’re located elsewhere in Alberta, online counselling may allow you to work with a Solasta therapist without travelling to Calgary.
If you’re unsure whether a particular clinician can work with you from your location, our Find a Therapist tool includes location as part of the matching process.

Counselling & Psychological Services
Where you live doesn’t determine which therapist you need. Our team brings different areas of experience, therapeutic approaches, professional backgrounds, and ways of working.
Solasta provides counselling for adults, children and teens, couples, and families, with clinicians working in areas including anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, grief and loss, relationships, parenting, stress and burnout, chronic illness, emotional regulation, identity, and major life transitions.
Rather than choosing a therapist based solely on location, our Find a Therapist tool lets you tell us what you’re looking for help with and shows you clinicians who match your needs.

Solasta provides comprehensive psychological assessments for children, teens, and adults, including ADHD, autism, and psychoeducational assessments.
In-Person or Online
You can choose between in-person counselling at our NW Calgary office and secure online counselling from home.
For some clients, coming to the office provides a useful separation between therapy and everyday life. For others, online appointments make counselling easier to fit around work, school, childcare, transportation, or other commitments.
Online counselling is available throughout Calgary and across Alberta. Some Solasta clinicians are also able to work with clients located in other Canadian provinces and territories.
Fees, Insurance & Direct Billing
Fees vary according to the clinician’s professional designation and the service being provided.
Solasta direct bills a number of major insurers where the clinician and benefit plan are eligible. Because coverage varies by insurer, plan, and professional designation, we recommend confirming your individual coverage with your insurer.
You can see our current rates and direct-billing information on our Fees & Insurance page.
Beyond Calgary
Solasta’s physical practice is in Calgary, but our online services extend beyond the city.
Online counselling is available throughout Alberta, and members of our team are also able to work with clients in a number of other Canadian provinces and territories.
For people living immediately outside Calgary, we’re also creating a separate guide to the communities surrounding the city, including places such as Airdrie, Cochrane, Chestermere, and Okotoks.
