Specialist in children, teens, and athletes — making therapy practical, approachable, and effective for young people facing big challenges.

Hi, I’m Caitlin. I’m a Registered Provisional Psychologist in Calgary who loves helping children, teens, and adults build emotional strength, self-confidence, and healthy coping skills. I’m passionate about supporting families and young people through life’s challenges and giving them a safe, encouraging space to grow.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked at The Mustard Seed as an Addictions Recovery Program Supervisor, Wellness Advocate, and Clinic Coordinator. My work with vulnerable and high-needs populations shaped my belief in the power of empathy, stability, and connection, and it drives my commitment to helping people feel supported, respected, and understood.

Therapy for Kids, Teens, and Adults

I’m especially passionate about working with children and teenagers. I love making therapy approachable and engaging, whether it’s working through big emotions, building self-esteem, supporting school or friendship struggles, or helping teens manage stress and pressure. I am also a sports psychologist and specialize in helping young athletes deal with sports and performance anxiety and other related issues.

Children

When working with children, I create a safe and engaging environment where they can express their feelings, process experiences, and build confidence. I help children navigate anxiety, behavioral concerns, emotional difficulties, and family changes, using age-appropriate techniques to empower them and support healthy development. I use play therapy as a central tool, helping children communicate their feelings, build confidence, and develop coping skills in a way that feels natural and empowering. I am attentive to each child’s developmental needs and work closely with parents and caregivers to support progress at home and in school. I strive to foster self-compassion and resilience, helping each child feel safe, understood and supported as they grow.

Teens

When working with teens, I prioritize building a strong, trusting relationship and respecting their individuality. I help teens navigate anxiety, depression, academic pressures, social challenges, self-esteem concerns, and family or peer conflicts. Together, we explore difficult emotions and experiences in a supportive environment, working to understand the roots of their struggles. I encourage teens to discover their strengths, build resilience, develop coping skills and foster self-compassion, empowering them to find their voice and move confidently through adolescence.

Adults

When working with adults, I provide a collaborative and supportive space to address a wide range of life’s challenges, including anxiety, depression, self-worth, and major transitions. We move at your pace, ensuring that you feel comfortable and supported as we work together to build long-term resilience. Through deep exploration of emotions and experiences, we process past events and navigate complex feelings, helping you gain greater insight and understanding of yourself. Our work centers on accepting all parts of yourself including those that may feel difficult or uncomfortable as well as rediscovering your strengths and cultivating self-compassion to support lasting growth and fulfillment. I welcome all experiences, identities and emotions as we work together toward greater self-acceptance and well-being. I believe everyone has inherent strengths, even when they are hard to see, and I am dedicated to helping adults reconnect with these strengths, foster self-compassion, and move toward deeper connection in their lives.

Athletes

I offer specialized support for athletes navigating the unique pressures and challenges of sport and performance. In counseling, I help athletes address performance anxiety, body image concerns, identity issues, self-confidence, self-esteem, self-worth, and general anxiety. Together, we explore the mental and emotional aspects of athletic life, working to understand the impact of competition, expectations, and transitions both on and off the field. My approach focuses on building resilience, fostering self-compassion, and strengthening a healthy sense of identity beyond athletic achievement. Through tailored strategies, athletes learn to manage stress, enhance focus, and develop coping skills that support both their personal well-being and performance goals.

How I Work

I provide a warm, collaborative space for children, teens, and young adults, grounded in genuine connection and trust. My approach is rooted in genuine connection and trust, meeting you where you are and supporting you as you grow. My approach is tailored to each individual’s needs, with a focus on helping clients explore and accept all parts of themselves. Together, we work to foster self-compassion, resilience, and confidence, supporting growth through life’s challenges and transitions. I use evidence-based therapies—including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. I also incorporate mindfulness, attachment-based, techniques to help you understand your feelings and experiences. For children, I use play therapy to create an engaging and safe environment where you can express yourself, feel understood, and gain confidence.

A big part of my work is helping you explore and accept all parts of yourself, building self-compassion and confidence as you move forward. Therapy with me is about working together to find what helps you feel more connected, empowered, and ready to face whatever comes your way with a focus on fostering self-compassion and kindness toward yourself throughout the process.

Life Beyond the Therapy Room

When I’m not in session, you’ll find me coaching soccer, skiing, walking my dog, playing Nintendo Switch, or doing some sort of craft. I love staying active and creative – it keeps me grounded and brings a sense of play and balance I carry into my work with clients.

A Safe Space to Grow

I believe everyone deserves a space where they can show up exactly as they are. Whether you’re a teen navigating school stress, an athlete balancing performance and mental wellness, a parent looking for support, or an adult working through life transitions, I’d be honoured to walk alongside you.
