I am a Registered Psychologist with over 10 years of experience supporting adults through challenges such as trauma, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life transitions, stress and burnout, and feeling stuck or disconnected from themselves. I believe therapy is a collaborative process and that feeling genuinely understood in the therapeutic relationship can be an important part of healing. I welcome the opportunity to walk alongside you. I am committed to creating a welcoming and culturally responsive space where your experiences, values, and identity are respected.

My approach is relational, compassionate, and trauma-informed. I draw from several therapeutic approaches, including EMDR, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), somatic and mindfulness-based approaches. I tailor my work to each client, with a particular focus on helping people understand how past experiences can shape their emotions, relationships, behaviours, and relationship with themselves. Together, we can explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion while finding practical ways to create meaningful change.

I know that reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially if you are used to taking care of others, holding everything together, or feeling like you should be able to manage on your own. My goal is to create a space where you don’t have to have everything figured out. Instead, we can slow down, make sense of what you’re experiencing, and work toward a greater sense of connection, self-trust, and authenticity.

Outside of counselling, you might find me at the gym, reading a book, biking, crafting, or connecting with family and friends. I am a highly, sensitive black woman with a silly personality.

If you are looking for compassionate, trauma-informed therapy in Calgary, I would be honoured to work with you. Feel free to reach out to learn more or schedule a consultation.
